@ellie_h181: So I was adjusting the truss rod on my electric guitar 🎸 right? And I had no idea what I was doing so..I just kept turning it… and turning it… and turning it Then afterward I watched some videos and found out that adjusting a truss rod can actually be pretty risky if you overdo it That’s when I realized I was probably one bad turn away from destroying my guitar. Somehow it survived and I genuinely think I dodged a bullet that day😭😭😭😭#electricguitar #trussrod #fyp @From Noob to Riffs #fypシ #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp
Look up on yt “truss rod test”. That guy turned his truss rod so much that the neck started to produce cracking sound. And the truss rod still didn’t break and the neck doesn’t explode. So 1/4 turn of the truss rod won’t damage your guitar.

You have to be attuned to your guitar to really understand the truss rod adjustments

it takes a lot of spins to get it to a point where it could’ve destroyed your guitar and why would you even adjust it without knowing anything about it

Btw because guitar action was SO HIGH I thought it was the truss rod but when I took it to a professional it wasn’t the truss rod😭

You have to try extremely hard to mess it up. If you go too far one way you can easily back up. I watched a guy purposely break a truss rod in a guitar and he had to extend the Allen wrench just to break things

It really shouldn't break unless you were just cranking on that thing I usually just give it 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn at a time and let it set for a couple hours before I crank jt again
