I would have ripped out the concrete slabs and made a nice wildflower meadow, planted some local plant species instead of destroying all that vegetation which is home to innumerable insects.

I wish we had a system where we pay a little money, like in the form of a tax, which a governing body like a council could use to fund the cleanup, restoration and maintenance of the local area you live in, that would really good.

If that was the council you would’ve had 15 traffic management guys, traffic backlog for 100s half metres, two workers needing five days.
