Dr. Joe Njagi. Thank you for the informative video. I have struggled with irregular menstruation since I was about 15 years old and am 37 now. Over the years, I have seen different gynecologists and received various treatments and medications. After I got married, it took about 4–5 years before I conceived because it was difficult to determine my ovulation period. My first child is now 10 years old, and since his birth, my menstrual cycle has remained very irregular again. Sometimes my period comes after 4 or 5 months, and there have been years when I menstruated only 2–3 times throughout the entire year. About two months ago, I consulted another gynecologist who prescribed some medications. After taking them, I had my periods in April and May. He also tried to estimate my ovulation period and advised my husband and me on the best times to try for pregnancy, but so far I have not conceived. I am planning to return for another consultation, hopefully later this month. In the meantime, I would appreciate any advice on what else I should be considering or discussing with my doctor regarding my irregular cycles and fertility. I would also like to mention another concern. For 15 years now, I have noticed breast milk discharge even though I am not pregnant and I am not breastfeeding.
