@danielgrindrod: If you want to learn Cinematography, you need this Book 📚 The Set Lighting Technician's Handbook by Harry C. Box is written for lighting technicians, but even if you are not one, knowing what the lighting department actually does will make you better at every other job on set. Electrical distribution, rigging, knots, diffusion, gels, every kind of lamp you might rig up. So when you are working with a gaffer, you actually know what they are doing.
