I really hope Austin forgives Ginny eventually. What she did was complicated, and even Georgia recognized that some of the choices being made had crossed a line. That moment stood out to me because Georgia usually does whatever she thinks is necessary to protect her family, so seeing her acknowledge that something was wrong carried a lot of weight. At the same time, I hope Austin eventually understands that none of this happened because people wanted to hurt him. He was caught in the middle of a situation that was much bigger than he was. Even if he loved his dad, that doesn't erase the fact that Gil was manipulative and knew how to influence the people around him. That's part of what made him such a difficult character to deal with. What makes Austin's story so heartbreaking is that he can miss his dad, love his dad, and still recognize that his dad made harmful choices. Those feelings don't cancel each other out. They're all part of what makes his situation so painful. More than anything, I just want Austin to find some peace. He's carried the emotional weight of so many adult decisions, and he deserves the chance to heal without feeling responsible for everything that happened around him.
