Sonic Adventure 3 or an adventure type game. Outside the originals. Some of the best games they ever made. Getting to play as multiple characters is awesome.

I think 06 was definitely the closest we got to the perfect mix, sonic was slow but we got Mach speed sections which acted as a boost. And then you had the normal levels which had more focus on platforming. I wish 06 had more time in the oven because it could’ve been revolutionary.

I want a SA3 so badly as well! And I mostly agree with you, slow him down a bit and make it about earned momentum and flow. Add multiple paths, and varied gameplay amongst different characters. And a Chao garden! Make the collecting mean something outside of just abilities and upgrades!

everyone's wanted sonic adventure 3 since the dawn of the millennium, I've pretty much come to terms with that (and no chao garden, and if we do it'll be a watered down reference if we do) no one on the dev team is left from that time, or wants to make it

Nah but Unleashed boost gameplay was perfection. Honestly they should have Sonic stick with boost and then make more games with Shadow that lean into the adventure formula.
