Would you take this over the md3 portable dac from fosi considering the following: I am buying my first really audio setup. I settled in the IM4 together with the MD3; I will be mainly using these for gaming etc at my desk, however I also plan on using my IEMs on the go, which is why the MD3 is real nice. I also really like the looks of the md3. So the real question probably is whether the MD3 is as good as the DX II as a desktop dac?

Do you think IEM’s with a inline mic cable would now be viable with this? One of the issues I have with IEMs is missing the mic monitoring and hearing my voice in real time without feeling I’m completely under water when I’m talking!

My only personal issue is that most Dac/Amps change the volume output separately from the windows output. I would like if there was one that would take full control of windows so that I don't have to crank windows volume to 100 and THEN crank the dac/amp to whatever volume I use. That's why I stuck to using the headphone jack on my pc instead since I can just use the volume knob on my keyboard and it'll change everything. Even though at 100% my hd560s are still quiet 😂
