I got invited to a team lunch last minute and I said no and my manager said “it’s not optional” and I asked if I was getting paid for it since it’s not optional as I had plans for my lunch already (mainly decompress by myself). Obviously in hindsight, not the right response but also past me had a point 😂

The irony was I was the school librarian. And the teachers didn't recognize my tism traits. And talk about giving 110%. I was up against Monica Lewinsky and I couldn't figure out why she was getting all the attention and I was doing all the work.

I just had my performance review after 12 months in my new job, I'm exceeding expectations and apparently have achieved more in 12 months than most people have in the last 10 years......it's not sustainable and I've one again set the bar WAY too high 😭

I don’t know why people think it’s odd to eat lunch alone like I need a few minutes to turn my brain OFF. When I worked remotely I was watching tv or going outside. It’s hard to go from talking to people to talking to even more people.
