Not agreeing with everything your partner says. They asked: why not just tell us what safety is? Here's why. Most relationship words are already carrying baggage. If I say safety, half the internet thinks I mean never upsetting your partner. If I say accountability, someone hears shame. If I say boundaries, someone hears control. You can't build a healthy relationship on top of broken definitions. A sculptor doesn't create the statue by adding stone. He creates it by removing what doesn't belong. That's why SAFE starts there.
