@cmgvlogs: This is Panchabhaiya Zoological Park and Wildlife Rescue Center, Begnas. Our animal lover group visited this facility and what we saw was deeply disturbing. Visitors pay just Rs. 50 for a ticket, walk around, take photos, and leave. But for the animals inside, this is their entire life. Several enclosures appeared neglected, and in some cages we did not observe readily available water. Birds meant to fly freely had barely enough space to spread their wings. Care and welfare seemed far from the priority that a rescue center should uphold. Nepal allocates significant resources and budgets toward wildlife conservation and protection. Yet seeing animals living in such conditions raises serious questions about accountability, transparency, and animal welfare. There are also concerns among visitors and locals regarding animals that have reportedly disappeared over time, and these concerns deserve answers. A rescue center should be a place of healing and protection—not a business built around the suffering of voiceless animals for a Rs. 50 ticket.
