I have the same experience with UOB because of scammed case that I have paid. I am the victim not the scammer but they forced me to close all accounts with them..

what you articulated sounds like a suspected or infringement of money laundering act. In SG we got to be very careful to act as a guarantor because in the event of any mishap, the bank can choose to go after the guarantor instead of the borrower or account holder, essentially a guarantor is taking up a blanket liabilities, don't play play 😂
