The last thing the very last thing any of these genius boat companies would ever even think to do would put a high capacity, maximum flow $1500 water pump in the hull of the boat you know the same pump that they use after your boat sinks-to float it back to the surface again oh no, that's too expensive you could put 45 engines on the back so the boat will go fast, but you can't put a few bucks into a serious emergency pump that would keep you dry enough to get back to the dock makes no sense

Weird. Many pontoons don’t even have a drain plug and the pontoons are often multiple sections welded together so if there is a hole in one section you still won’t sink
