If AI is this good at writing code, why do so many AI built projects fall apart the second you add one more feature? I figured out why, and it is simpler than you would think. AI is incredible at producing outputs. A function, a test, a component. But an application is not a pile of outputs. It is a system. It is the relationships between all those pieces, and whether they hold up over time and under pressure. Here is the line I keep coming back to. AI generates outputs. Engineers create systems.
