Holy smokes, that’s nearly 4x the amount of sugar in a 1-hour glucose tolerance test to screen for gestational diabetes! Or nearly 2x the amount in the 3-hour test to definitively test for it. Kind of a niche reference, but a lot of people report feeling like shit after one or both of those tests. I felt a bit crummy after drinking the 100g sugar beverage for the 3-hour test. The crash left me tired and cranky with a headache. I can’t imagine consuming nearly twice the amount of sugar.
