This is a great attitude. I am also 55 like you. I have a couple friends that are very flaky. One won’t ever commit until last minute and then aggravated if I went ahead and made other plans. The other cancels almost every time. Her last excuse was her dog was groomed that morning and she needed to stay home to make sure she (the dog) felt ok. Maybe I’m more grouchy in my old age, but to me it almost seems like a 1 sided friendship.
