Welcome back! As a local, I love seeing such pure emotion for my country. Most tourists only focus on the visuals like neon signs or shrines, but Japan is deeply about the sensory details. Next time, try to seek out a 'Shishiodoshi' (wooden water fountain) in a silent bamboo grove at dawn, or visit an old-school vinyl jazz kissa hidden in a basement. That’s where the true, calming soul of Japan lives. Safe travels 🤗🇯🇵

Welp, you’re definitely in Sapporo! If you’re still there and you’re up for it, get to the “Sapporo Beer Garden” for the great beer and the great grilled lamb meat! You may have to search for it using the German style: “Sapporo Bier Garten” or the Japanese サッポロビール園… then again, there’s also “Yoru-parfait” to be enjoyed in Susukino! If you’re up to eating Salmon roe, they have the “Mega Ikura-Don” at Hachikyo… You’ll thank me later 👍

I didn't know Japan syndrome was a thing cuz I definitely have a bad case of it ever since I've been there I think about it pretty much every day wanting to return because I had such an incredible time there. I spent close to 45 days in Japan and it was amazing and I want to go back in the worst way and I will go back but I love it there!

I spent two weeks in Japan last year. My son is married to a wonderful Japanese woman from Gifu. In my opinion, Gifu is one of the most beautiful cities nestled in the mountains. Gufu castle is a must see. I can’t wait to go back next year.
