Julie Gonzalez is pretty damn left, but she’s going for senator. Weiser and Bennet r both basically democrats who’re like “nooo Trump stoppppp or we’ll write you a strongly worded letter”

The fact that we have had no choice but to compromise for many years is the reason so many people didn't vote. It's the reason Trump won. That is definitely NOT "how it should be". Political parties were something the authors of our constitution were against, and for good reason. The stranglehold of the two party system must end.

Weiser is the best choice! No corporate or billionaires funding, which means he’s running a grassroots campaign. That is incredibly more “progressive” than DC politician with $9M from corporations, PACs, and billionaires Bennet.

I appreciate this thoughtful post. Also, why don’t we have ranked voting? Oh… yeah, we already know why

For people who don't know as much(me), for whatever reason, i feel like this is how democrats got to the point it is my and its so tiring to feel like your vote is defensive even though you dont even necessarily agree with all of the things that candidate is presenting. it's exhausting and i wish we could get out of this cycle cause it forces us to choose between the lesser of the two devils. Politicians are supposed to be public servants and all of them are so far from that.

I like ur content but I dont think those of us to the left of everyone that ever gets on the ballot should be arguing that having to compromise for every election is how it SHOULD be. That's how its BEEN and its been bad. I'm sure you know this, but perhaps you are just more liberal than I realized and are fine with the corporate milktoast candidates we are forced to vote for. At some point it would be nice if I could vote for a candidate who actually aligns with my political values, so I heavily disagree with your conclusion at the end that we should be fine with having to compromise and never truly feel represented.
