teenagers are supposed to push buttons. its literally developmental. and asking why is human. even if the answer is "I don't have a reason other than i don't want you to" which is lame. but as parents we ignore the "rage bait" and do our best to communicate to teach our kids how to communicate. I say this knowing I mess up a lot with my kids too, but abandoning isn't parenting. I hope you're doing okay and i hope you both grow from this.

this happened to me back in 94, only it was in the back roads of Washington state. I had to walk home and that took 2 days. I'm glad the troopers found you safe.

All the comments saying not to question your parents saying “no” is WILD. You should have the relationship with your parents where you can ask why, and they provide an explanation. Otherwise they’re just holding their power over you. My daughter asks me why all the time and I give her the explanation cause why not?
