As someone who’s BEEN A avid Asian beauty/skin care fan, I was so excited to see OY open up! I love how different it is when it comes down to the products they carry, like I’ve never heard of BePlain or Soobil, only seen and heard Hera and Espoior and never been able to get it. I love how fun and cool it is the layout and how they have not just snacks but actual skincare readers and product recommendations but also contacts is so cool! The downside though, I personally know different places that carry Asian products that also have so many items and things to look at and around for, such as my all time favorite ShibuyaLA and other small branded shops that carry these goods and Amazon. I love how all of these have become accessible of course it’s not all going to be the same ingredients or prices (unless you go searching at the places I recommended there’s a big difference in prices) but I think it’s worth checking out and each their own decide from there

I agree with being able to test and swatch in person!! it was super helpful. I think the education first display is also very good for newcomers. but the app/us Webstore and tier situation is very valid criticism. I also hate the lack of 1+1 deals and collaboration 😭. I did enjoy visiting but I think I am so close to 3 Korheims and 2 Shibuyalas I will likely go there more often. I would only go to OY if there are new things to discover
