@danamomto4: The outcome will be the same: when your baby gets bigger at 5 1/2 months you can teach them how to sleep and fall asleep independently. The journey to get there can either be incredibly stressful or very fucking easy and the choice is yours. Feed to sleep association does not bother me. I am feeding my baby to sleep until we reach the point of sleep training
do you burp when you nurse to sleep? im having my baby tomorrow 🥹

Because of the Dana method I literally nurse my 1 year old to sleep for naps and bed AND HE SLEEPS 12 hrs a night. And life is so great and so cool. 🥰

Ya know what? Hell yeah. Because I tried to put my first down for naps without nursing and it never would happen. So every nap would be contact naps!!! I tried so hard for independent naps that we just did contact naps

Yesss it’s so weird how society tries to convince new parents that babies need to do literally anything independently

I nursed to sleep with my first because I literally didn’t know what else to do and it worked so that’s when I realized TRUST your mom instincts.

At 3 months I told my pediatrician I was having a hard time getting him to sleep without nursing and she was like….. so nurse him. I felt like I needed that permission! It was so much easier after that and then we sleep trained at 5.5 months and it was easy

The people who tell you not to nurse to sleep are also popping a pacifier in their baby’s mouth to go to sleep 🤣🤣 It’s actually hilarious

Can you share some wisdom on how to keep toddlers in bed once they’re out of the crib? My almost 3 year old gets up at 5:30 and bee lines it to our room and none of us can get any sleep after that

can I just say, I watched all of your ebf videos when I was pregnant, and then again literally in the hospital, and it made my whole experience so much better. I've been able to ebf her whole 4 months of life and its been amazing and not stressful at all. You've helped me be so much more calm about everything!

I never sleep trained my first. Just wasn’t right for him I thought. Now he co sleeps with us. I told my husband, our second will be sleep trained. Wish I would’ve tried harder with my first to do that. He’ll learn to sleep in his own bed eventually. Our thought is he’s only young once and if it’s what he needs, it’s what he needs. I learned early on mother instinct with my first and realize that every child is going to be different and you know your child and what they need best. Over anything else.
