How successful you are in corporate is mostly based on how liked you are and whether you look the part. Fin. Once people decide they don’t like you enough, there’s almost nothing you can do in that space. You could stay and keep doing enough to stay employed or leave for a bigger check and better acceptance. Once I know the right people don’t like me, I start planning my exit bc I hate staying where I’m not wanted.

Best way to survive corporate is create a character for yourself and play that character which understands and plays the game. You only have to be on stage while you’re in work. You can switch back to being a human other times.

this is why i find corporate so hard! i can do my job, that parts easy. it’s the politics and faux culture that i cannot do. i cannot play the game and that def holds me back even though i can evidence how well i do my actual job :/
