Hudson’s biggest haters are mostly white gay men I noticed. I remember their reason was bc he’s gay for pay but they never had that energy to Harry Styles or Nicholas Galitzine. I even saw so many say it’s okay for Nicholas Galitzine and I know it’s bc he’s white.

Not only that, it’s the photo of him imitating a black woman with box braids. It’s the Instagram account. It’s this photo of him with the symbol and the word AIDS. At some point, why is it that he always needs to be defended? Why is there actually evidence of him doing all these things? He is literally still friends with the people in those high school photos. I have always been a H defender since December but it gets to a point...

He wasn't the only one with the symbol, another white male had one on the same place, another did the salute and another mimicked the moustache. They all knew what they were doing.

Thank you for developing, I appreciate your pov! As an asian woman, I’m absolutely for including racism in feminist discussions as I believe it is indissociable. I especially appreciate your point on people infantilizing men, especially asian men and I do think this come into play in this Hudson debate. I’m not that familiar with HR or Hudson so I will stay outside of the conversation about him getting targeted by a specific group. What I wanted to bring up was that defending men will always bring more consensus than defending women, even in feminist spaces and I am not trying to bash anyone. I know that living in this society, internalized misogyny is inevitable but it is important to note. And male-centeredness is especially prevalent in gay media with a large female audience, and that borders on fanaticism. I have seen many women of color so easily dismissing a swatiska and I think this is worrying. Again, not trying to debate Hudson’s morals but I wanted comment on how the public is reacting to this situation.
