@lovegreenerliving: 🍄 The mushroom adventure continues! After peeling and slicing my gifted mushrooms, I’m loading up my dehydrator trays so I can preserve them for long-term storage. The sliced mushrooms will be stored in jars once they’re fully dehydrated, ready to use whenever I need them. But that’s not all… I’m also saving the mushroom stems! Instead of throwing them away, I’ve finely chopped them and added them to the dehydrator too. The plan is to grind them into homemade mushroom powder for adding extra flavour to soups, stews, casseroles, gravies, and more. I’ve never made mushroom powder before, so this is a completely new experiment for me, but I’m excited to see how it turns out! Have you ever dehydrated mushrooms or made your own mushroom powder? I’d love to hear your tips and advice before I get to the next stage.
