Born and raised Catholic. Left for a decade. My husband wasnt Catholic but went to my grandmothers Catholic funeral (dating at the time) looked at me and said I want our kids raised in this. Well we had kids, I opened the catechism just to see if I was right (after leaving) well I quickly learned I was WRONGGGGGGG. My oldest started catholic school. I went to her first school mass blessing and sobbed the whole time sick I couldn’t receive communion as being lapsed. I called the priest the same day for a meeting to come back. Needless to say I am a PROUD devout practicing catholic again for the past 4 years 🥹

now explain why catholics removed the commandment about worshiping idols, and made the 1 commandment about covering your neighbors wife and goods, into 2 separate commandments. the bible specifically speaks against removing or adding to God's word. but it makes sense why the catholic church removed the commandment about worshiping idols
