ok, so devils advocate here. we ride motorcycles, he and I. instead of feeling obligated to reassure the other person through text or call it gives us each peace of mind without having to bother the other person I can just check on him myself. plus when we are en route on our bikes we cant answer or respond so...

My adult kids once asked me why I shared my location with them and it’s a pretty simple reason. If I’m ever on my way somewhere and I don’t make it, I could’ve been in a serious car accident and be unable to use my phone, but at least somebody will be able to locate where my phone is and trust me if my phone’s there, so am I.
