@itsalvinhuang: Sometimes business is not about finding the perfect answer. It’s about choosing which pain you want. A client wants extra attention. A prospect asks for personal favors. Someone crosses the boundary even after you already set it. Then you start thinking: “Should I tolerate this?” “Should I push back?” “Should I walk away?” Honestly, sometimes I think we overcomplicate it. There are usually only two choices. Suck it up and deal with it. Or don’t. Both have consequences. If the client is important enough… If the upside is big enough… If you really want to break into that market… Then maybe you complain a bit, whine a bit, and then do what needs to be done. Not glamorous. But practical. On the other hand, if you’re not willing to pay that price… Then slowly reduce the replies. Set firmer boundaries. Accept that you may lose the opportunity. That’s business too. The mistake is wanting the reward without the discomfort. Wanting the client without the inconvenience. Wanting the market without the messy human relationship part. But sometimes the game is just messy. So don’t overthink until you paralyze yourself. Make the decision. Pay the price. Choose the lesser evil.
