@texturebaddie: This job market is so bad and I cannot do anything with my masters degree. Any ideas? #healthadministration #jobmarket #relateable #mastersdegree #fypシ
You can not use a Master’s to get into a field. You have to already be in the field. A Master’s is used to move up not move in.

Bachelor’s in HR, graduated in 2021 and we were still in the pandemic. Was robbed of opportunities because everyone closed down and/or wasn’t accepting any interns. I have yet to get in my field. I know it’s tough asf but I surrendered my life to God and he has me making a living doing something I wouldve never thought. However I dont have the average 9-5 schedule and way more freedom and time. Keep pushing! God knows best tho and don’t beat yourself up.

I also heard with this degree, the best place to start out is to get a license to become a Nursing Home Administrator, they make really good money. The program is called the AIT program. If you live in a big city this program would work but for me I live in NC where jobs are not easy to come by. I hope this helps.

Nurse here. So my question is, do you have a degree in nursing or have been in the medical profession. Because if not, a masters in health administration may get you an administrator job at a nursing home at best. But most CNO’s, CEOs, COOs at hospitals have a background in some sort of clinical profession. If you have no clinical background, a masters in healthcare administration is of no use to you honestly. A job in HR doesn’t require that degree.

GET CERTIFICATIONS. I have a bachelors degree in healthcare admin and have been working as a sub teacher for almost a year. I would advise you to get certifications to specialize yourself more since the degree is so broad. do what works best for you. You got it girl, keep going! No weapon formed against us shall prosper!

not a girly, but don't let your degree keep you from trying new things. degrees just verify you are willing to put in the work to achieve a goal. that's really all that matters professionally.

Hear me out- electronic health record implementation consultant. I managed medical practices and billing offices for 10 yrs (started at the BOTTOM, bottom.. in medical records.. worked my way thru several promotions to Management position. Kicked a$$ in that position for many years until I decided it was time for a change- I accepted a job as an EHR trainer.. stayed and grew in that role and then promoted to Managing a team of Revenue cycle SMEs.. making over six figures with no degree - no student loans. Travel all over the U.S. - i absolutely love what I do. All that to say- the medical field has so many opportunities- don’t let that degree put you in a box-

HR here Senior living should be one of your options. (Growing population)I would start off as an Assistant Administrator so that you can learn the ropes. Then to the Administrator (six figures) another take let it have a non-profit sector and apply for PSLF.😏

You can use your masters to apply for subbing positions for the school district despite not having a credential. You could also try applying to positions at the community college

Please consider obtaining your FACHE. I have this plus an MBH/MHA, but the FACHE helps. I worked in private practice before moving to an acedemic health system. You got this!
