@paws6136: 🐾 This is a baby woodpecker, it fell from it’s nest, right at my feet, while I was walking one of my clients. First the Tawny, now this little fella! I’m not sure if the universe is trying to tell me something 😅, but I do what I can to help and help we did! He was trying to climb the tree back to his nesting hole, but was struggling 😔. My guess is that it may have been first time leaving the nest, and hadn’t quite figured out its wings yet. Its mum was watching from the tree & I gave it every chance to try and fly or to see if she would maybe come to help her baby 🤷🏻‍♂️ . I couldn’t leave it, A) because I have a heart, but B) because this is a busy route for dogs! … But with the help from some local builders, working on a near by house, we managed to get him back in his nest 🙌🏼. #woodpecker #nature #rescue #bekind #dogwalker
