I'm with Harrison here. And if you show up any earlier than 5:55 that's also rude imo

These aren't my people in the comments... if it's a place like a restaurant or some type of meeting place 15 min early to 15 min late I agree...... when it's someone house I think within 30 min is perfectly reasonable and Honestely I'm usually relieved when people are 15-30 min late.... and I'm always understanding the with kids bc a blow out at time of leaving will easily make you go from being on time to 15-30 minutes lates bc gotta get the stain out right away so now you are giving the kid a bath, doing a load of laundry, and then getting everyone recalled to go

Why is anyone serving food as their guests arrive?! Arrival and small bites, THEN the meal.

I would be annoyed if people showed up early to my party. On time is fine. 10-15mins late is perfect. After that I’m annoyed again. 😂

As a host, I work hard to have the meal ready and hot on time. If everyone waits for the late arrivals and it’s cold, that’s rude. It just depends on the event.

I would much rather people be late than early. Because I am usually setting up until the very last possible minute.

For dinner, I agree…. Up to 15 min late. For a party, I treat my home like an open house… show up 15 min to 3 hours after start time, stay as long or as little as you want.

For me, if dinner is @6, you will be expecting me between 5:30 and 5:45. A little early is on time, on time is late, past the time (late) is rude to my host/hostess.

Dinner is different, but if I say “birthday party is at 7” and you show up at 7:30 I’m not mad… dinner means people are waiting and food is cold

Only correct answer is 5:50-6:00. If you’re past 6:00 you are late and now I’m annoyed. You have a 5 minute buffer for incase of traffic or whatever. I also expect a text minimum of you’re going to be later than 6:05. Does not matter if you have kids. If you know they’re a pain in the ass to get ready you do your routine earlier so that you’re on time.

I’m sorry but 6:00 dinner means I’m there NO LATER than 5:45. Especially if dinner is served at 6ish.

always 10-15 minutes early. A coach drilled it in me when I was young. If your on time- your late, 15 minutes early is on time. SO many times my husband and I show up to things TOO early and we sit in the truck 🤦♀️
