FYI, 113mph in town. A storm spotter's equipment at I70 and I135 junction maxed out at 123, and a Dopler radar measured 145mph in New Cambria KS just 6 minutes east of Salina.

It is not a derecho because a derecho is hundreds of miles long and goes across states, this storm barley went halfway across the state and then dissipated

As a Salina native, NOW I understand why a Salina local posted this footage on facebook with the caption "Hurricane Category 3", smh & lol.🙈 I replied that Salina didn't actually have a hurricane, but the trees uprooted from cement and 2 days without power sure looked like it!😳
