It was so good getting to see my beautiful client Dodi again. 🤍✨ Dodi and I began her dreadlock journey about 3 ½ years ago, and one of my favorite things about watching her process has been seeing just how beautifully her locs have evolved with very minimal maintenance over the years. Recently, she decided to start coming back regularly for root upkeep, and I was so excited to get my hands back in her hair. Since our last appointment, she removed the final pieces of her original extensions… which means she is now officially 100% natural — and let me tell you, her locs are absolutely stunning. What I especially love about her set is the incredible texture that has naturally formed over time. Every lock has developed its own unique character, creating this beautifully organic look that simply cannot be replicated. Because preserving that individuality was important, this appointment was focused on intentional maintenance only. I repaired a few locs in some high-traffic areas that had experienced stress from being pulled up and daily wear, refreshed her new growth, and carefully maintained only what was necessary while keeping all of that amazing natural texture intact. And for a fun change… we left a front section loose because over the next few weeks she’ll be combing that area out to create some beautiful fringe, and I already know it is going to add such a fun new dimension to her look. Watching these journeys unfold over years is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
