Grief is like glitter. In the beginning, it’s everywhere.. on your hands, in your hair, scattered across every corner of your life. You try to clean it up, to restore some sense of order. A tiny sparkle that catches the light and reminds you of what you lost. It doesn’t go away completely. It settles, becomes quieter, less overwhelming. You learn to live with it, to carry it gently. And years later, when you find a bit of that glitter tucked behind a shelf, you might smile. Maybe even laugh. Because it reminds you of love, of connection, of someone who mattered deeply. Eventually, something will catch your eye.. a photo, a favorite song, a familiar scent, and instead of pain, you’ll feel warmth. That’s the quiet truth about grief. It stays with you, but it changes. It becomes a part of your story, a soft echo of the love that never really left.

Connor, I’m 27 years later from losing my sister. Tucker will ALWAYS be in your heart. Tucker will ALWAYS be with you. No, it doesn’t get easier. You learn how to handle it “better”, you learn to appreciate everything he was for you. You’ll ALWAYS miss your brother and nobody should ever expect you not to. You’ll learn to smile when you talk about him rather than cry. I swear it’s never easier, it just doesn’t hurt as bad. Hang in there💙💙

I lost my older brother last may and have celebrated 2 of his birthdays without him now and it gets worse before it gets better. Sometimes the littlest things will remind you of them and it makes it so so hard. I always thought I wouldn’t be able to live without him but now I’m living for him. The little celebrations for random things makes you think about them. It’s so difficult and for some people it doesn’t get easier or it takes a while for it to get easier. Thoughts and prayers to you. I know my brother is keeping him company.
