One huge problem in the art community is capitalism and by association social media. “If it doesn’t make money or get likes/follows then what’s the point?” Is such a damaging idea that it’s stifling our ability to heal ourselves. Art was never meant to be mixed with money.

I feel conflicted about nepo babies after realizing this because yes if everything is provided for you in terms of connections in the industry or even just not having to worry about bills and the everyday errands of life(most rich ppl get nannies, assistants, housecleaning etc) of course you have the time and freedom to go into the arts.
