Also in many languages where a gender neutral pronoun like they/them doesn't exist, people use neopronouns instead. Like for example in germany, our they/them is basically the same as she/her, so neopronouns like dey and xier are more often used instead.

It also just... has no sort of statistics backing it? Either way, there are actually plenty of adults who use neopronouns, xenogenders, and contradictory labels. I'm 20 and still use all 3 to explain my gender and orientation, and am regularly around other adults who also use labels and pronouns like that 🤷♂️

I found out about them as an adult and it's literally hello ed me further discover myself 🤷 People don't gaf when you grab a random photo and say "this is gender" but if you do it with word suddenly it's an issue 🤨
