@kinderwell2: Many of us aim to raise kind, responsible boys, but it's not always clear what that looks like day-to-day. It’s not about one big lesson, but rather a series of ordinary moments. Here are some things that can help: * Letting them experience small consequences. * Giving them things that matter. * Teaching them to repair mistakes instead of just punishing them. * Trusting them with more than feels comfortable. Responsibility isn't built overnight; it develops through countless everyday experiences. These 7 reminders are ones I often revisit, and I hope they can be helpful for other moms raising boys. Which of these resonated with you the most? #ParentingTips #RaisingBoys #ResponsibleKids #MomLife #parentinghacks
When you say give him a role , what are some examples please

Why wouldn’t you help him with the forgotten lunchbox? Being there for him creates a bond that he knows he can always count on you when he needs help.

Let me rephrase. “A responsible son isn’t raised by accident. He’s raised by a mom AND A DAD (OR A FAMILY) who shows him, one small moment at a time.”

What’s the consequence for forgetting a lunchbox? No lunch tomorrow? Serious question I don’t really have an idea

I thought I did all these and loved him unconditionally...our relationship is beyond strained... I haven't seen my grands in 4 years... picked them up from school 3 days a week, sleepovers, dinners, movies, shopping... then one day... his wife took it all away... please pray for my family... God bless you all.. ❤️🙏

It broke my heart watching him (5 at that time) cry during provided lunch that he didnt want to finish. His teacher kept him in class and not let him go home. I peeked through the door gap, he saw me and cried even more asking for defense and help. I didnt do anything, instead I told him I was leaving home without him. He stopped crying and ate everything and never unfinished his meal again. It wasnt easy.

I'll run with there lunch box and help with homework, I'll tie there shoes till I'm grey and old pack there bags till I no longer can. I'll show them how to be good people and be a good role model I'll show up every single day for my kids and that's what will turn them into great men. 💪

I try to put all of these into practice, but despite my efforts, my son still doesn't try to do all the things he should be able to do independently for his age.

#1 is crazy crazy important and will teach your kid to get himself up after a failure. Instead of having the mindset of "there is no hope, no fixing this, it will just keep getting worse from here, it's all over."

Today my son carried two heavy bags of groceries. He dropped one. Took a rest then carried it into the kitchen… he said “Mom ate you so proud of me?” My answer… ALWAYS ❤️
