I can’t believe I held it that long. Watching the video back, it felt like it would never end. If you watch my video from the other day, you’ll see how far I’ve come in such a short time. That video was the first time I’d stepped onto a beam in 20 years. Now, at 43 years old and after gaining 30 pounds over the last two years, I’m doing this. That’s a reminder that even when we’re struggling, we can still make progress. Weight gain, setbacks, and hard seasons don’t make us incapable or less than. We can still grow. We can still move forward. We can still do things we once thought were out of reach. That’s why we can’t live in the past. We can’t keep replaying old failures, old regrets, or old resentments. We have to free ourselves from them. Forgive yourself. Accept yourself as you are. For me, that’s when I was finally able to start showing up for myself, even in the hard times. Keep moving forward. Keep showing up. Keep taking the next step. Progress isn’t about where you were yesterday. It’s about having the courage to take the next step today.
