@bambola.shoppe: This disco banana started as cardboard rescued from the recycling bin in my apartment building. 🍌✨ I cut and shaped the cardboard, covered it in layers of Mod Podge and paper mâché, painted it with acrylics, and spent countless hours applying mirror tiles by hand. I even added hardware so it could hang from the ceiling. The finished piece weighs somewhere around 25 pounds, which is honestly hilarious considering it began as a pile of trash. Some people look at paper mâché and see craft rather than art. I see it as one of the most accessible and sustainable ways to create. We produce an incredible amount of waste every day, and I love the challenge of transforming discarded materials into something unexpected, beautiful, and built to last. Trash to treasure, one disco sculpture at a time. ✨
