Punjab🇵🇰-da-talwar :
There seem to be a lot of these “dawah guys” in the UK who have gone straight from street culture into giving dawah. As far as I know, there is nothing in Islam that says a particular sexual position is forbidden between husband and wife, such as the woman being on top. So I don’t really understand why a dawah influencer—who may not have any formal Islamic qualifications or serious scholarly training—is comfortable making his own rulings on the matter.
At the same time, while this video is funny, I think people are overlooking a serious problem. The “Love Monger” is criticizing the dawah bros, but he himself is not a Muslim because he rejects aspects of the Sunnah and holds beliefs that many Muslims would regard as heretical.
The result is that a lot of liberal Muslim men and women see him exposing the faults of certain dawah influencers and then assume that everything he says about Islam must be correct. Criticizing one group’s mistakes does not automatically make another person’s beliefs sound or authoritative.
Both sides can be wrong. Just because someone successfully points out bad takes from dawah influencers does not make them a reliable source of Islamic guidance be careful brothers and sisters especially.
