Another reason he didn’t use a scope was the glint. On one mission he was hunting an enemy sniper and that sniper was hunting him as well. They were locked in a stand still for almost a full day until the sun moved far enough to reflect off of the enemy snipers scope, Simo used that small shimmer of light to locate and take the out the enemy snipers with a well placed shot.

No Aimo Koivunen was the GOAT, got separated from his unit and then surviving an epic 250-mile ski avoided numerous soviet patrols was injured by a land mine, and stayed in a ditch for a week, ... ok taking his units entire supply of army-issued Pervitin might of helped lol. The whole Finnish army were legends outnumbered 5-1 they killed 5 Soviets for every Finnish soldier, Finland lost 7.6% Soviets 30% .

"The White Death" is also a phrase used for the one, the only, the SCARISIET name for sharks, ladies and gents, The Great White Shark. Japan called Great Whites the "White Death" on account of their belly being HWHITE! Although, in more recent research... "THEY CAN CAMOFLOUGE!"
