As a Polish person who lived in the UK for almost two decades, I understood exactly what you meant. It's also interesting how different I sound when I speak Polish versus English. Each language seems to bring out a different side of my personality.

I don’t understand why should I go back to an old personality when it was one of the reasons why I got out of there. 😅 I didn’t want to be like that anymore. I’ve changed and that’s me now. I’m not going to be toxic just because it would be easier for them. They have to accept me as I am now.

I left Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, moved to Japan 🇯🇵 where I lived for 7yrs, then moved to the UK 🇬🇧, stayed there 4 years, then moved back to 🇨🇮. I don’t know who I am anymore 🤷🏽♀️. I feel like I don’t fit anywhere …
