you can ask for a birth debrief (when youre ready) and a senior midwife can go through your labour notes and explain why everything happened. i had it after our traumatic birth and that helped me so much x

“i know people probably have had more traumatic experiences in birth” that doesn’t mean ANYTHING. if it was traumatic for you, it was traumatic. you’re still so strong for what sounded like an extremely difficult 24 hours and nothing would diminish that ever. please speak to your GP if you’re still feeling shaken from it i know there are people that help you through the aftermath of traumatic births, etc. but you did it!! congratulations to you and hiren❤️🫶🏽

It may be a slightly negative experience but it’s a real experience. I’d rather watch this than watch someone say oh my birthing experience was easy and simple. I may not be pregnant nor have a baby but I’d rather listen to a real experience like this. Everyone’s stories are different and have different experiences

i wish the midwives didn’t tell you to not push, i’m a student midwife and the trust i’m in the midwives are incredible at listening to the women and telling them to listen to their bodies, im so sorry that happened to you. congratulations on your baby boy💘

I would highly recommend seeking a Birth Reflections appointment where you can get all the details of what happened. I had mine about 2 years after my birth and it was so valuable in helping me understand exactly what happened and why x
