@soheefit: This narrative makes me sad because it’s completely untrue and disempowers women. Let’s flip the script.

I'd say it's even more important to exercise WHEN you have a baby! healthy body and mind are crucial to be able to be present for your child! Or any self care routine anyway. Mommas don't feel bad for taking some time for yourselves, you are also very important ❤️

My husband encouraged me to keep doing my Tae Kwon Do when my son was little. I needed that time to push my body and be part of a community. Yes, I’m a mom, but I’m not only a mom.

I’m a mom. The one advice I always give is make time for yourself. It doesn’t matter what you do, if it’s training that makes you feel better. You do go do that. But that break makes me a better mom. When I’m out my husband has the kids and yes he also make dinner for all of them and me. I train 3 times a week, and it makes sure the I function. I agree with you completely! 🌺

one of my biggest motivations to go to the gym as a mom is so I can play football and do things with my child. As I had broken my back everything is harder to do sometimes but my child has been the biggest motivation to really push myself. As he deserves a mother that loves herself and is also a good rolemodel for him.

I'm not a mom (purposely) but the things exercise does for my mental health are 100/10 - so I think it's only going to make you a better mom, wife, person, everything!

I signed up to run my first marathon, finally, when my second was 3 months old. I don’t feel bad for training they were with their amazing dad and building that bond, whilst I got a break and made me feel sane again

Coming from someone who doesn’t have kids, I think it’s great that you’re taking time for yourself.

The fact that you're exercising at all, blows my mind!!! When I had my beautiful daughter, I was breastfeeding a baby that was waking up every couple of hours, and I didn't have anyone to help me. The fact that you're physically able to find energy andv the strength to do more is a WOW!

Did you have issues with your pelvic floor after giving birth? How did you work through it? I’ve been struggling with strengthening my pelvic floor since my daughter

For anyone that thinks that a mother taking care of herself away from the baby is selfish needs to take a long hard look at the logic there. If you continue to take care of yourself physically and mentally it means you can be there for the baby. If your wellbeing collapses then you cannot be there for your baby either.
