As Flower Hunters, we visited Hobaho Lily Breeding to discover what the future of lilies has in store. One of the standout introductions was the stunning double Oriental lily ‘Royal Kiss’. A beautiful bi-colour pink and white lily with fully double blooms that immediately catches the eye. One of its unique features is the absence of both pistils and stamens, creating an exceptionally clean flower with no pollen, making it even more attractive for florists and consumers. This exceptional variety is expected to become commercially available around 2030. That means a little more patience is required, but one thing is certain: the future of lilies looks very promising.
