She told me those experiences changed how she saw him. The respect shifted. The safety shifted. Even the marriage felt strained. But beyond that, she started losing herself. It took a lot for her to find her footing again. A lot of mindset work. A lot of rebuilding. Eventually, she got back on her feet. And when we spoke, one thing she said stayed with me: Never stop building. Keep working on yourself. And keep your knees close to the ground in prayer. Because no woman should depend so completely on another human being that she loses her own balance. That story stayed with me because many women are told to relax once life feels settled.
