Some mothers wouldn’t do anything different even if something were outside the norm. I know a girl who had no prenatal care and found out only at birth that her baby was in fact twins. She thought it was the placenta being delivered and had a second baby. Everything went perfectly and both babies were healthy. Emergency medical care exists for a reason. I wouldn’t choose no medical care for myself. I’ve chosen inductions and hospital births (and of course prenatal care), but I’m high risk. Some moms aren’t.

Also, I can’t stand the “trusting my body crowd” I’m 36 weeks pregnant with twins. I pee when I cough, laugh, clear my throat, blink. My body is the last thing I trust.

We did all the appointments and stuff with our first. It added so much unnecessary stress trying to coordinate schedules and such. Our second we didn’t get to do anything past 20 week anatomy scan due to life circumstances. This one (our third) I didn’t get to get anything past the 14 week genetic blood tests (which were all clear) because of life. Would I have loved to get the anatomy scan pictures with this one? Definitely. But there are a lot of barriers people don’t take into consideration when things happen🤷♀️
