There are stories that bring tears to the eyes whenever they are remembered. Some histories leave a deep pain in the heart, not because they have been forgotten, but because the wounds of the past are still difficult to revisit. 💔😭 During Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaa-ASWAJ-Ghana conference in Tamale, Sheikh Ibrahim Idris Basha, Sheikhul Bayaan, shared a story that touched the hearts of everyone present, a story so emotional and heartbreaking that it brought almost the entire conference to tears. 😭💔 It is a story of sacrifice and struggle… tears and perseverance… unity and painful disagreements… hope and heartbreak. Many people today see what Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’a has become, but very few truly know the painful journey that brought us to where we are today. People see the mosques, the respected scholars, the institutions, the large gatherings, and the growing number of followers, but they may never fully understand the sacrifices that were made behind the scenes. 😭 There were people who gave their time. There were people who gave their wealth. There were people who sacrificed their comfort. There were scholars and elders who dedicated their entire lives to teaching, defending, and spreading the message of Islam and the Sunnah. Some sacrificed quietly without seeking recognition. Some endured hardship so that future generations could enjoy what they see today. And some of those who struggled and sacrificed for this noble cause are no longer alive to tell their own stories. 💔😭 Above all, this history should remind every one of us that unity, sincerity, respect, and the fear of Allah must always be greater than our personal differences. Our history should not only make us emotional, it should teach us. It should remind us of the price that was paid by those who came before us and the responsibility we have to protect the legacy they left behind. May Allah forgive those who have passed away after sacrificing for this noble cause, preserve those who are still with us, and unite the hearts of the Muslim Ummah upon the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.
