Fragile masculinity causes many men to see being gay as a much larger thing than it is. Many men were raised being told that it’s wrong to break out of the mold of what traditional masculinity is. These actions that are seen as not masculine or wrong for a man to do are called “gay”. Which makes these men grow up with those same behaviors restricted to them, they fear them. Because they’re “gay” so it feels like a huge deal for them when a man actually has relationships with men.

It's a property system that predates capitalism and got absorbed into it. 'All men are bad' is the conclusion the ruling class needs you to reach. Because the moment women and men with shared material interests start organizing together instead of blaming each other — that's Bacon's Rebellion again. Different gender. Same threat. Same playbook to prevent it. The enemy isn't men.
