My family has been buying Lacoste shirts for years and they are worth every penny in my opinion! They last for years and years without looking old or worn down!!

Maintains shape and doesn't fade, and a good fit. For me, a tall slim build.

How do you explain the fact that their T-shirts still look fresh after 7–8 years and continue to keep their consistency and color?…and some more expensive ones can’t even achieve that.

When is the season coming where you are just wandering into stores and reviewing them on the spot without buying them?

Biggest factors for me have always been how they hold up after a couple washes. Poor quality polos usually shrink and/or lose their colour.

Colors for polos and higher end do cooler colors.

I like button shanks, and one piece collars sometimes. Some kind of fancy cloth like a silk blend pique is nice. I bet a 95/5 cotton cashmere would be good but I haven’t seen it.

Hah! Was here in the comments repping Lacoste over a high-end polo review and you're so right- it's simply about your priorities. And for me Lacoste brings heritage in a classic, functional- basically utilitarian garment. Hard wearing fabric, well enough mad edit what it is (who needs shanked pearl buttons???) And a discrete but iconic logo. Looks good with anything if you bring the right attitude! 🔥👌

Hey :
First two are always, given reasonable quality of construction, fit and fabrics, by far.

I’m a huge fan of brands that use hidden button down collars for these shirts. There are very few that do and I hope bigger brands will start to use them more.

most annoying for me is fabric shrinking after a few washes and poorly shaped collar

Can you please do a review of some very high quality, fully fashioned, knitted polos? And also do comparison with a pique cotton polo like the Lacoste polo in this video? Some brands I would recommend exploring are John Smedley, Kiton, Svevo Parma, Cesare Attolini, Zilli, and Stefano Ricci.
