Coffee syrup recipes⬇️ Coffee syrups or syrups in general don’t have to come from a plastic bottle at the grocery store with artificial flavors and who knows what in them…. Banana Bread Syrup 2 ripe bananas 1/2 cup cane sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup water 1 tsp cinnamon, divided 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp salt Mash the bananas with 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon. Add them to a saucepan over medium-low heat and cook for a few minutes, stirring often. Add the cane sugar, brown sugar, and water, then stir until combined. Add the maple syrup, remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt. Simmer for a few minutes, then blend with a blender until smooth. Chocolate Syrup 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup water 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt Optional: 1–2 oz finely chopped dark chocolate Whisk the sugar and cocoa powder together in a saucepan. Slowly whisk in the water until smooth. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla, salt, and dark chocolate, if using. Let cool before storing. So good. Homemade Caramel Sauce 1 cup cane sugar 1/4 cup water 6 tbsp butter 1/2 cup warm heavy cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and cook without stirring until it turns a deep amber color. Remove from the heat and whisk in butter. Slowly whisk in warm cream, then stir in vanilla and salt. Let cool. Strawberry Top Syrup Don’t throw away your strawberry tops! I make fruit syrups from the fruit that is getting close to turning in my fridge. So easy. Tops from about 2 cups of strawberries 2 cups water 1 cup cane sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract, optional Simmer the strawberry tops in the water for 20 minutes. Strain out the tops, return the liquid to the pan, add sugar, and simmer for another 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Use however much you want for iced coffees or ice cream or whatever! They’re amazing. What would you add? #homesteadlife #homesteadinglife
