@thefitnesslady_: Hip pain on the outside of your hip isn't always as simple as "bursitis." Hip bursitis is often used as a catch-all term, but pain on the outside of the hip is often a combination of irritation in the tissues around the hip and weakness or poor function in our glutes and other muscles that help support the joint. When those muscles aren't doing their job properly, the hip can end up taking more strain than it was designed to handle. Many people instinctively try stretching, but stretching alone won't strengthen the muscles that help support the hip. If irritation is already present, stretching can sometimes worsen the irritation rather than settle it down. This exercise helps wake up and strengthen those important supporting muscles, improving stability around the hip and helping you move with greater confidence and comfort. Work at your level and stay within a range that feels comfortable. #hippain #hipbursitis #glutestrength #mobility #correctiveexercise
